The Optoma DS317 2600 Lumen SVGA DLP Multimedia Projector… I’m starting to hate these long names that don’t mean anything. Anyway, on to the business at hand. A multimedia projector with good quality and user-friendly interface. This would sum it up rather nicely, no?
The brightness and contrast levels are very high, and they combine it with BrilliantColor Technology. The supposed lamp life is a little more realistic this time. They advertise 4000 hours, and low maintenance costs to boot.
The good things about this article. The quiet fan located on the side makes it less of a nuisance and more of a show, really. It has easy menus, is very bright and the rapid shutoff takes it off your worries instantly.
The bad things revolve around it’s limitations. The picture may not be as sharp as you’d expect for the price. You can’t adjust the image size, which is very bad. As you can see, apart from the inability to adjust the image size it’s a good all-around product that is highly appreciated by the people.
